The admin area is where you and your staff run the business. It lives at /admin/ on your billing site and works on computers and phones. This chapter walks through the screen: the top bar, the menu groups, the Home dashboard, search, notifications, your own account, two-factor sign-in and the roles that decide who may see what.
Signing in
Open https://billing.example.com/admin/ and sign in with the administrator name and password you made in the install wizard (see Installing AIOBilling). If an administrator has two-factor sign-in on, the page asks for the 6-digit code from the authenticator app next. Too many wrong tries lock the sign-in for a while; the limit and the minutes are set under Setup → Security (see Settings).
While the licence is not in order, the admin area opens only the Home page and the Licence page, and an orange bar says so. See The licence.
The top bar

| Package icon | Pending orders, with a count. |
| Bell | Your notifications. A dot shows when something is unread. |
| Arrow icon | Opens the client area in a new tab. |
| Your name | A menu: My Account, Change Password, Two-Factor Authentication, To-Do List, the language list, and Logout. |
Under the top bar sits the main menu: Home and then one drop-down per group. On a phone the menu folds behind the burger button.

Plugins add their own entries, usually in a group called Addons or in the group they name. A page the signed-in role may not open is not shown at all.
The Home dashboard
The top row holds six tiles; each one links to the list behind it:
- Pending Orders, Overdue Invoices, Tickets Awaiting Reply, Pending Cancellations - turn orange when the number is above zero.
- Active Clients and Income This Month - the money is in your default currency.
Below are the widgets. Each can be folded with its arrow; the browser remembers which ones you folded.

Intelligent search
Type into the search box on any page and press Enter. One search covers clients, contacts, products/services, domains, orders, invoices, support tickets and transactions, and shows each kind in its own list with the count. You can search by:
- a client's name, e-mail address, company or phone, or a client ID;
- a contact's name or e-mail;
- a domain name, a service username or a dedicated IP;
- an order number or an invoice number;
- a ticket ID, subject or e-mail;
- a transaction ID or its description.
Each list holds at most 20 rows. The client list itself has its own search that also looks inside the client's domains, see Clients.
Notifications
The bell opens Notifications: system messages for you and the ones shared with every administrator, for example an affiliate withdrawal request, or a bank-transfer or mobile-wallet payment that a client reports and you must check. Each has a level (Info, Success, Warning, Error) and often a link to the page that needs you. Unread rows are shaded. Per row you can Open (go to the page it points at and mark it read), Mark read or Mark unread, and Delete. Above the list: Mark all as read and Delete read.
My Account
Your name menu has three pages, also shown as tabs:
- Profile - first and last name, e-mail address, language, admin theme and the Support Ticket Signature that is added under your ticket replies. Your username and role are shown but cannot be changed here.
- Change Password - the current password, then the new one twice. The minimum length is set under Security (never less than 8).
- Two-Factor Authentication - see below.
Two-factor sign-in
- Open My Account → Two-Factor Authentication and press Set up Two-Factor Authentication.
- Scan the picture with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator and the like), or type the key in by hand.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and press Turn On.
From then on every sign-in asks for a code. To turn it off you give your password and press Disable Two-Factor Authentication. If a colleague loses the phone, a full administrator opens Setup → Administrators, edits that person and presses Reset two-factor; the person can then set it up again. Setup → Security → Two-Factor shows who has it on and can make it required for all administrators.
Administrators and roles
Setup → Administrators lists the staff with their role, 2FA state and last sign-in. Add New Administrator asks for: Username (3 to 32 letters, digits, dots, dashes or underscores, starting with a letter), Password, First and Last Name, Email Address, Administrator Role, Support Departments (the departments whose tickets this person works on), Ticket Signature, Private Notes, Admin Theme, Language and Disable Login. You cannot disable or delete yourself, and the last full administrator can be neither disabled nor deleted.
Setup → Administrator Roles defines what a person may do. A role has:
- a Role Name;
- Full Administrator (*) - switches every permission on;
- Email Notifications - System (automation, failures, licence), Account (new orders, payments, cancellations) and Support (tickets);
- Permissions, in groups that match the menu (Clients, Orders, Billing, Support and so on). Each menu page has a permission of its own, such as List Clients or Configure Payment Gateways. There are finer ones too: Edit Clients Details, Delete Client, Login as Client, Add Client Notes, Accept Order, Cancel/Refund Order, Set Order to Fraud, Edit Invoice, Refund Invoice Payments, Add Transaction, Delete Ticket and more. Check all ticks a whole group.
A role that is in use cannot be deleted; move its administrators to another role first. A good start is a Full Administrator for you, a Billing role for the accounts person and a Support role limited to the Support group.
