Short answers to the questions hosting owners ask most. Each answer points to the chapter that has the whole story.

Before you buy

Is AIOBilling a copy of another product? No. It is MD OMAR FARUK's own client management, billing and support script, written from scratch in PHP and MySQL. It follows the way hosting companies already work, so the menus, the order of the pages, the order statuses and the wording feel familiar, but it is a different product with its own code, and you own the installation. What does it cost? The price depends on how many clients you hold, not on servers or staff. Plus (250 clients) is $34.95 a month, Professional (500) $54.95, Business $84.95 (1,000), $129.95 (2,500), $199.95 (5,000) and $299.95 (10,000 and more), and the Owned licence with unlimited clients and every plugin is $599 once. Can I try it first? Without a key the script lets you hold 5 clients to try things. See The licence key.

What do I need to run it? A PHP and MySQL host. Shared hosting with cPanel is enough; a VPS works the same way. See Requirements.

Which plugins are free? Every payment gateway, registrar and provisioning module that ships with the script is free. The SMS and WhatsApp notices and the Nova and Lumen themes are premium. See Plugins and themes.

Installing

How long does the install take? About two minutes: upload, open install.php, answer five steps, add one cron job. See Installing AIOBilling.

Can I install it in a sub-folder? Yes, for example example.com/billing/. The script works out the folder by itself. Change RewriteBase in the .htaccess and use the full path in the cron line. See Installing AIOBilling.

Do I need SSH? No. The upload, the wizard and the cron job all work from cPanel. A host without a cron can call the web cron address every 5 minutes. See Automation.

Can I move to another server or domain? Yes. Release the licence, copy the files and the database, and keep config.php. See Updating to a new version and The licence key.

Licence

What happens when I reach my client limit? Adding a client (by an administrator, by registration or at checkout) answers The licence allows N clients. Upgrade the licence to add more. Nothing is deleted and nobody who is already a client is locked out. See The licence key.

What if the License Center cannot be reached? The script keeps working through a grace window of 7 days after the last good check. Clients can still pay invoices even if the licence is not in order. See The licence key.

I bought a premium plugin but it will not switch on. Open Setup → Licence and press Check now, so the addon code appears under Addons on this licence; then switch the plugin on. See Plugins and themes.

Everyday work

Does it create hosting accounts by itself? Yes. Give a product a module (AIOhPanel, cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk or Automatic Release), add a server, and choose when the service is set up. Suspend, unsuspend and terminate can be run from the service page or by the automation. See Services and servers and Products and the catalogue.

Can I register and renew domains automatically? Yes, through the Namecheap, ResellerClub and GoDaddy modules; the Manual Registration module lets you do the registering by hand and still bill the client. See Domains and Domain registrars.

Which payment gateways are included? Bank Transfer, Mobile Wallet, PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay, Paystack, bKash, Nagad and SSLCommerz. See Payment gateways.

A payment came in but the invoice is still unpaid. Look at Billing → Gateway Log: it shows what the gateway sent to the callback address and what the script answered. See Invoices and payments and Troubleshooting.

Why are no invoices or reminders going out? Almost always the cron is not running. Check Utilities → Automation Status. See Automation.

Why do my e-mails not arrive? Check Setup → Mail Settings and Utilities → Email Message Log, and use SMTP with a real mailbox on your domain rather than the PHP mail function. See Settings and Troubleshooting.

Can my staff only see what they need? Yes. Create an administrator role with the permissions you want and give it to the administrator. See The admin tour and Settings.

Can clients use Bengali? The script ships an English and a Bengali dictionary and translates its pages on the way out; the language is chosen under Setup → Languages & Translations. See Settings.

Connecting other systems

Is there an API? Yes, a JSON API: one address, an action name, your credentials and the parameters. See The API.

Can I change the look? Yes. The client area and the admin area both have themes, and the free ones can be tuned under Setup → Themes & Appearance. Nova and Lumen are premium. See Nova and Lumen themes.

Updating and safety

Will an update overwrite my settings? No. Never overwrite config.php, installed.lock, data/ and uploads/; the update ZIP does not carry them. After uploading, run Setup → Database Update. See Updating to a new version.

Where do I look when something fails? Start with the logs in data/logs/ and the logs under Utilities. See Troubleshooting.
