Lumen (ক্লায়েন্ট থিম)

Lumen is a premium theme (addon code theme-lumen, $29) for the client area and the public pages: the home page, the store, the cart, the client account, invoices, tickets and the knowledgebase. It gives your clients a light grey top bar, rounded cards, an icon rail for the account pages and a big hero on the home page. It changes no feature: only the frame, the shared components and the colours change. It is for shops that want a more modern face than the free client theme, Lagoon. The sister theme for administrators is Nova; both are introduced in Nova and Lumen themes.

Free or premium

Premium. Lumen is included in the Owned package; the monthly packages give a discount (see The licence key). Without the addon theme-lumen on your licence, Use answers This is a premium theme and needs the "theme-lumen" addon on your licence. If the addon runs out after Lumen was in use, the site does not break: it falls back to Lagoon and the Themes page shows a warning that names the theme you chose and the one in use. Press Check now on Setup → Licence after renewing and Lumen returns by itself.

The plugin entry theme-lumen on Setup → Addon Modules (category Themes) only lists the theme with its licence status. The theme files live in the themes/client/lumen folder.

Switching it on

1. Buy the addon at license.faruk.bd and press Check now on Setup → Licence.
2. Open Setup → Themes & Appearance. In the Client Area table Lumen's Licence column says On your licence. If your copy has no lumen folder, upload the theme ZIP from your account with the upload box under the table.
3. Press Use on Lumen.

The same choice sits on Setup → General Settings (the General tab, Client Area Theme). The client theme is one choice for the whole site: all clients see the same theme. (Administrators can pick their own admin theme, but there is no per-client choice.)

What changes

• Top bar and cards. A light grey navigation bar with the store, knowledgebase and support links, the language and currency menus, the cart with a count, and the account menu. Cards have rounded corners.
• Icon rail. A signed-in client has a slim rail of icons on the left for the account pages (invoices, services, domains, tickets and the rest). It widens when the pointer or the keyboard focus enters it and shows the names, the client's name, the number of unpaid invoices and open tickets, and the account credit.
• Hero. On the home page a big gradient banner holds a title, a short text, a glass search box for domains and three quick links (Browse the store, Knowledgebase, Contact us).
• Footer. Four columns: your company with its address, the store, support and account links, then a credit line.

Options

Open the Client Area table on Setup → Themes & Appearance and unfold Options of Lumen. The options come from the theme's theme.json:

Save Options keeps your values; Reset to defaults clears the saved values of Lumen only. Colours must be written as six hexadecimal digits with a hash, such as #1d4ed8; anything else is replaced by the default. Options are saved per theme, so Lagoon keeps its own. The banner texts and the search box are described from the client's side in The client area.

Preview and going back

Preview opens the front page in a new tab. To go back, press Use on Lagoon. Nothing is deleted and Lumen's options are kept.

Tips

• Check your logo on the grey top bar and on the dark hero; a logo with a transparent background works best.
• Choose the two hero colours so that white text stays readable on both.
• Write the footer text as a short HTML snippet, for example a line with your support hours.
• Look at the store, the cart and a client page after switching, on a computer and on a phone.

Troubleshooting

• Use is refused: the addon is not on your licence yet. Press Check now on Setup → Licence.
• You chose Lumen but see Lagoon: the addon is missing or expired; read the warning on the Themes page.
• Your own plugin pages look odd: a theme sets the frame, the shared components and its colours only. Test your plugin's CSS once under Lumen.
• Colours do not change: the value was not six hex digits with a hash.
