Nova and Lumen themes

What Nova and Lumen share: turning a theme on, the fallback when the addon is missing, options, preview and going back, with links to each theme chapter.

Two premium themes give AIOBilling a second look. Nova restyles the admin area with a dark left sidebar. Lumen restyles the client area with a light grey top bar, rounded cards, an icon rail and a large hero. Each costs $29 (addon codes theme-nova and theme-lumen), and both come with the Owned package. Neither changes a feature: every page, form and permission stays exactly as it is, only the frame around the page and the colours change. The free themes that come with the script are Blend (admin) and Lagoon (client). See The licence key for packages and discounts. This chapter explains what both share; each theme has its own chapter with what it changes and every option.

Turning a theme on

  1. Buy the addon at license.faruk.bd, then press Check now on Setup → Licence.
  2. Open Setup → Themes & Appearance. Nova is in the Admin Area table and Lumen in the Client Area table; their Licence column says On your licence once the addon is known. The theme files come with the script; if your copy does not have them, upload the theme ZIP from your account with the upload box under the table. The plugin entries on Setup → Addon Modules only list the themes with your licence; see Plugins and themes.
  3. Press Use on the theme.

The same two choices also sit on Setup → General Settings (the General tab: Client Area Theme and Admin Area Theme). The client theme is one choice for the whole site. The admin theme is a default; each administrator can pick their own under My Account → Theme, and an empty choice follows the default.

If the addon is missing

A premium theme cannot be chosen without its addon: Use answers This is a premium theme and needs the "theme-nova" addon on your licence. If the addon runs out after the theme was in use, the site does not break. It falls back to Blend or Lagoon, and the Themes page shows a warning that names the theme you chose and the one in use instead. Renew or buy the addon, press Check now, and the chosen theme returns by itself.

Options, preview and going back

Every theme with options shows an Options of (theme) panel under its row on the Themes page. Save Options keeps the values and Reset to defaults clears the saved values of that theme only. Options are saved per theme. Colours must be written as six hexadecimal digits with a hash, such as #1d4ed8; anything else is replaced by the default.

Preview opens the front page of the area in a new tab. To go back, press Use on Blend or Lagoon. Nothing is deleted, and the options of each theme are kept.

If your own pages or plugins add CSS, test them under the new theme once; a theme only sets the frame, the shared components and its own colours.
